Meet Will Hundsrucker, an incredible athlete and a shining example of what happens when we break down barriers in sports. Will’s journey is close to my heart, he was one of my first athlete's when I helped coach Miracle League with his dad, Josh, several years ago. I've kept tabs on him since and have been following his journey as his mom has been paving the way for competitive Cheer Competitions. He's even a NATIONAL CHAMPION!

Sandy Hundsrucker, Will's courageous and innovative mom, created the Unified Cheer Team to ensure that athletes of ALL abilities, including those with cerebral palsy, have a place to shine. 💙
When I asked Sandy what message she wanted the community to hear and better understand about Cerebral Palsy, this was her response, "Inclusion isn’t just about allowing participation—it’s about meeting athletes where they are, recognizing their strengths, and providing opportunities for them to compete, grow, and be celebrated. Every athlete deserves a space where they feel valued, challenged, and supported in their journey toward success." 🙌

With Unified Cheer, Sandy and her team is proving that competitive opportunities should be accessible to EVERYONE, regardless of ability. The impact this team has had on their student-athletes and the community is truly inspiring.
Will’s first time flying as part of the team (see photo below) is a perfect example of how far we can go when we embrace inclusivity in sports. Together, these kiddos are making a difference—one cheer at a time. 📣

Let’s continue breaking down barriers, spreading awareness, and ensuring every athlete has the chance to thrive! 💪💙
